I have got to get a better camera - as Simi said, the wood veneer is very nice. Even so, I still would love to own that system!
 
Looks like a factory paint job from where I sit! Wish I had the room. (and that it was closer!) Pristine looking stuff all the way around!

I agree . . . I think it looks great and if it's a factory finish excellent!

It says all original.
 
I don't think so.. Look at the back of the cab, and around some of the openings... you can see over spray, and the hinges are painted over too..

Also, if you look at the one surface that is showing pretty close, looks like a bad sand job over the grain..
 
I don't like it and the equipment isn't all that. I love black lacquer finishes and have a record cabinet upstairs that is done in black lacquer but this is a flat or matte finish. I don't think it is original, I would have to get up and person with it to state but from the photos I don't think it is. Like Simi said, why are the hings sprayed black too? Another clue is that they wouldn't waste their time painting the insides of the cabinets, edges of the would or panels that will never be seen. The biggest give away is that there is no shine to it. I also doubt that that transformer is a factory upgrade, it would have been installed on the chassis itself, thats newer wiring and twist ties, its a replacement.
 
Gotta dig the military grade connector for the tranny though... and that cooling fin on top of the tranny... CLASSIC!

Looking closer, on edges and the side of one of the speaker cabs, you can see the black scratched and chipped off and white showing under it.. *fail*

What can you tell us about the table? That's a really sweet piece.
 
I'm laughing at the "factory upgraded" transformer. Nope, that was a clean replacement designed for better cooling...but a factory job? Hell no.

hehe I did too, if you look at the chassis hard enough you will see the outline of the original transformer.
