What a beauty! I'd love to see one. Pretty expensive but I'll bet they might be discounted from the full MSRP.

Hmmm.... fully balanced....interesting - no doubt one of the main reasons it's more expensive. Basically means 2x all internal components over the typical and quite common single-ended design.

There are very few components that are fully balanced all the way through as they seem to indicate for this one.

Those sure are lookers.... might have to make a road trip to Canada in the Spring. Wonder how many Canadian dollars a US dollar will buy by then?
 
Wow, it's nice to see Yamaha bringing out a really serious stereo design. I'm more of a separates person, but it sounds like they put a lot of work into that amp.

Looks really good, too.
 
Wasn't there a thread recently wondering aloud what gear built to vintage standards would cost today from a major manufacturer?

Looks like I'll keep hitting the thrift stores.

It's built beyond the typical vintage standards if it's truly a fully balanced design. That's normally the domain of the really expensive "high-end" audiophile stuff.
 
One thing is for certain, RETRO is in........the old never faded and is now back with more power than ever. I would have preferred black with wood but even the aluminum looks really nice.
 
WOW!!!!!!! :drool: That looks sweet. Hopefully Pioneer, and others will follow suit. I might have to get these if they ever come to the US.
