New binding post on new Mcintosh amps

Hmmmmm...............they look OK, but will they work better? I've had no problems with any of the newer models binding posts so am guessing the change is that they simply found something cheaper from China.

The new binding posts as used on MC452 and MC302 are a unique McIntosh design. Patent is pending. These have a floating center barrel section that if twisted will not loose tension. The top section will maintain tension even if the cable/spade is moved side to side. These come with a McWrench to tighten them down.
The new post will not fit older amps as the chassis key is a new shape. Yes, they work better.

Thanks,
Ron-C

As shown in the attached photo the rear exit IEC power socket on MC302 and MC452 will allow the use of any large power cable. Tributaries is the one in the photo.

Thanks,
Ron-C

OK.......I take back the 'cheaper' statement. But you have to tell us what the comment was just before the pic was snapped.

Even though Joe quit aging when he left McIntosh, once a Mac man always a Mac man....

He's obviously concerned that if that young lady can pick up that amp by the power cord the amp will not meet LA County electrical code and will not be able to be sold there.
