Challenge: ID Mystery Vintage Speaker!

Picked up pair of these at Godwill* store.

Three-way ported design, look like early 70's to me. Sound great. It seems damn nervy for a shop to just put their mark on something and assume it would be recognized by the market.

My buddy said that if you turn the logo upside down

I believe micro acoustics is correct.

On another note, that wiring to the binding posts could really cause a problem with your amplifier/receiver. It would be very easy for the two speaker leads to touch, creating a short circuit at the amplifier. This can cause your output devices to fail, as in burn up, blow up, etc. I suggest that you repair this problem if you want to keep this catastrophe from happening.

PS Nice looking speakers! How do they sound?

Edit: Sir.Byrd is correct, see below. I had seen that logo identified in other threads, but forgot the correct manufacturer.

Tx, all! That was my solution to mating 12ga cable to 70's inputs, but didn't think about that problem. The things sound great - BIG soundstage. Will try them on big amp soon.
