Bogframe . . .she has been evasive in all the responses to questions, but I bet you could throw down some of that Brooklyn charm and find out if this lady is legit.

It seems like scammers are getting bolder . . . or do they think the average j6p shopping for quality vintage gear is too giddy/stupid to understand the deal is just too good too be true.

I look forward to seeing how this one turns out.

Not even my wife's charm was enough...here's the repartee

"I don't let strangers in my house" = run from this one, don't look back or you'll turn into a pillar of salt.

These sansui listing have all the earmarks of the infamous Henry John Louis of Long Island. Beatle Fred and him have gone toe to toe on several occasions. He has used these ebay ID in the past. nmt_student, mcsolaar2002 and accuphasedealer.

He lists rare audio gear, usually Sansui or Accuphase, collects payment and then doesn't deliver. The excuses this current "woman" is giving to questions about the gear sound very similar to the types of responses we have seen with this guy.

Unfortunately, at this point it doesn't look like any ebay rules have been broken so I don't think there are grounds to ask ebay to pull the listing. Has anyone found the souce of the pictures being used? If they were copied from other online sources, that is an ebay rules violation.

The pictures are old ones most likely. Only an Andale search would render the recent past auctions. But I believe the C-2301 is from DEcember.

He has added a bunch of other rare an exotic Sansui stuff. It all follows the pattern.

She just sent me another message asking me what my best offer was. I told her that if it checks out, I could give her $400 cash. what's fair market value on this stuff if it's for real?
EDIT: She just sent me another message..."well, then I would advise you to shop elsewhere." Oh well.

The only B-2301 listed in Paul's database sold for $1625 last March. $400 was a real lowball offer.

It looks like ebay pulled all of meekah3's auctions. Hopefully no one got burned.
