How to get rid of win.32.agent.pz ?

Got it but don't want it and can't seem to get rid of it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

spybot, adaware, pccillin, hijackthis, even in safe mode won't do it. Not much in Google or at Norton, either. It's just a PITA Malware.

Thanks

Just out of curiosity did you try to manually remove it?

There is one sure way of removing it - Fdisk + Format + OS Reload.

Don't even think that!!!

Haven't tried to manually remove it yet. Easy enough in the WIN NT folder, but I don't know where else it goes under what name in the registry.

Have you tried a "search" from the start menu and typing in the item you are trying to get rid of then trashing/deleting? Always save the file just in case.

Major Geeks website. Check the Support Forum > Malware Removal.

Ya gotta follow their guide step-by-step, but virtually a guaranteed fix. Maybe you'll get lucky and find a specific removal tool over there.

Did you try installing Linux? That'll fix your problem.

.....absolutely, Dave and TenToze....to just back things up to a day before you caught the virus has never failed me....using Windows XP-Home Version, when you power up the tower and get the red page soon, hit the F10 key....then, be sure and choose toward System "Restore", NOT System "Recovery"...."Restore" is what you want....then choose a day from the calendar presented that is "before" you caught the virus....great feature.....
