Kyocera A-910 / DA-910 / T-910 Nude for New Years!

Just in time for the New Year as I received my elusive A-910 Integrated Stereo Amplifier along with another T-910 AM/FM Stereo Tuner today. Which means that I finally get to run a matched Kyocera Separates system! There is not a lot of information on the A-910 as noted here at TVK. It came with its original internal and external boxes with the packing slip still affixed as it was shipped from Japan to New Jersey 24 years ago! It weighs in right at 58 pounds and is in remarkable shape!

Here are the nudes as promised along with some other family photos:

Kyocera A-910

Kyocera DA-910

Kyocera T-910

Separates & Receiver

I have another DA-910 CD Player so I only need to find the B-910 Amplifier and C-910 Preamplifier and I can use the second T-910 Tuner I have for another separate stack. I can only seem to find 100V components from Japan and the occasional 220V European versions, with no luck or bad timing on the 120V stateside stuff.

BTW wishing all you AKers the best in the coming New Year and hope you enjoyed the Peep Show!

Regards,
TB

I've always had a soft spot for the Kyocera gear: Simply uncommonly good stuff.

The DA-01 is near perfect cosmetically and functionally. I have only played pressed CD's with it and have not tried CD-R's, but truthfully, I don't think it has ever skipped a beat on me. Which is amazing since it turned 25 this past July! It does take a few seconds for it to find a track when I skip towards the end of a disc, but it is cool to watch the linear tracking light move!

I do have another DA-01 in about the same shape as well and a beat-up Akai CD-D1 that works that I can scavenge parts off if needed. I tend to acquire duplicates of most the vintage gear just for that unexpected failure someday. I also have been proactive in removing the conductive glue off the boards myself or have had it done when I have sent things off to be serviced. It's also nice to have one of the top ex Kyocera Dealer/Tech’s so close in Seattle that can remedy just about anything if needed.

Regards,
TB

Somehow I missed this thread several months ago...

TB, from what I understand, you're the only person in the US with an A-910? Holy cow! That's beautiful equipment, I hope it provides years of enjoyment. It deserves a prominent place!

what make/model is it. I think Kyocera would use a good one. TIA, Chuck
