Nah, I'm pushing the limits with the E-waves in the living room as it is. I can
only imagine if brought a couple of butt-cheek rigs in! I'd probably have to promise foot massages every day for the rest of my life. :scratch2:

I'm an EE. It makes sense to me and I can see how it could improve audio performance. Haven't built one because I have 994 projects in line before that but if I ever get caught up I could see trying it out.

Its official. I received the JBL waveguides today and replaced the Daytons. The JBL's are smoother. Check out the oldskl port plugs.

Thanks for the input and opinion, it is much appreciated.:thmbsp: I have talked with another member who has expressed an interest in building a CC crossover in order to "pass it around" so people would try it. We''ll see how many are interested.

Ewg + ob?

Anyone try mating the EWG HF with open baffle?

I have a pair of Stromberg-Carlson Slimline 12", the ones with the red cones. WT3 indicates a Qts of almost 1.6 (!), Fs in the 50s. I was thinking they would be nice on some big mirror-image MDF baffles I made a long time ago... and I could mount the EWG above each driver! Cool thing there is I could put this together this weekend, using Altec compression drivers till I get the B&C's...

PE would be 137.00 each, it seems. Possibly better with a lot of participants.

At that point, I'd like to see about comparing a couple of alternatives in the 1" category from BMS, 18sound, Beyma, and a few others and see what offers the best bang for the buck.

Same driver new from Pro Sound Service is $120, no minimum. Group purchase from THEM might knock off another 10-20%. Shipping isn't much for these, so it could be pretty darn economic. I went through another dealer who is giving me drop-shipping from B&C at ~$120 with shipping included...

Lotta hungry people out there who will trim margins to make a sale.

Has anyone done a listening comparison between the mini horn from JBL and the one from PE? I was planning my American Monitor Ewaves yesterday and realized the the round WG I have will not fit from the woof to the top of the cab, and the rectangular one is too wide. So I will use the mini. Cheers.
