Yeah, somebody doubted earlier whether the thread would ever hit 500, and another member scoffed saying we'd be there before the end of the year.514 pages! :thmbsp:

Hey Gang, if you look at the members projects you will see many where the horn does not show. I am #10 on the list and when I put my grills on, you can't see the horns. As far as money goes, I bought my ESS AMT1Cs for $220.00, took off the Heils and turned then into eWaves for just under $200.00 then sold them for $600.00 and still have the Heils.....which I think I will be selling so I can buy a pair of Ionovacs. The swapping never ends.
So rather than 'flattening' the top end of the woofer's response with a Zobel (RC) in parallel with teh driver you chose a lower crossover point for the LP section so the rolloff would do the work of reducing the peak. I suppose the 900 hz LE14 LP version would be a good place to start on this.
Due to an Le of over 3mh the DC380s Z is 30 Ohms at 2K. I'm guessing that much L might lead to phase shift issues in the crossover region?

I will be using the cabinet from parts express. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=245-325
I cant read through 514 pages of posts - can some one reccomend an all around 12" sub woofer for this project that will work well with the standard crossover parts list?

I documented earlier in the thread one way to make removable (so you can still get the baffles in and out) braces for Barzilays using Simpson construction connectors....
