Yes. I used the Dayton 25 uf instead of the Solen 24 uF because it fits the board better.

Same deal with the laminate-core inductor L2. Air core will work, but the board is laid out for the ERSE and it will fit perfectly in the space provided.

I mounted the woofers from the front and used this grill from Parts Express:

The grill back piece (goes over the woofer from the back before it is screwed to the front baffle) was not quite open enough to seat right against the woofer rim, so I had to open it up a bit with metal shears. That might not be necessary with drivers other than the FaitalPro 12PR300.

The second problem with the grill is that it rings a bit when installed. It needs some sort of dampening against it to quiet this down. Haven't come up with a good way to do that yet. I have not detected the ringing in normal listening, but you can hear it when doing swept testing, when the sweep stops.

Fast time to build. 2 1/2 hours to cut and assemble. I used a Kreg jig and wood glue. You can put it together and use immediately!:yes:

I also braced the cab but did not get pics just yet but I will get more. These are more or less test cabs to see how I like them.

One bummer happened today.... One of my 220ti's diaphragm connection was bad so I am waiting for a replacement. Otherwise They sound pretty good.


I had a kind of honky sound at first but I covered the back of the horn with protecto wrap and that seemed to fix the problem.


Now I just need two:yes:

First Cab done.

Finished getting the parts into the first cabinet today. The other is not far behind, and tomorrow they will get ports installed on the bottoms, and then they will be ready to test.

Black screws will make things look better. The cabinets have had only one coat of Watco Danish oil, cause they will sound better if they look nice. Time for a brewski! :beer:

I'm thinking about ordering everything I need to finish my Barzilaywaves so I at least have something to work on. I want to finish up one of these projects. My luck the Pyle and JBL waveguides are on backorder too.
