Luxman L100 amp
I have the chance to pick up a Luxman L100 amp today for $100.I see on clssicaudio.com,that they sold in 76-80 for $995.Are they a good amp? I've never had the pleasure of listening to any luxman audio. What would it be worth today? Rich

in working order and nice condition I wouldn't think twice about it. Luxman gear of that era is stunning and well made.

My Luxman receiver (R-1040) from that time period sounds excellent!

Go get it ASAP. It was TOTL, and I've heard it's one of the best Lux pieces from that era.

Yes,I got the L100 amp,and it is almost mint!!! Absolutely beautiful!!!The only flaws to this unit, are a small pinhead size chip,on one edge of the cabinet, and a small, light scratch above the "Luxman"logo.I hooked her up yesterday,to my kenwood KD 3070,and listened to some old 70's albums.Sounds great!!!All functions work as they should, including the touch-mute mechanism. My cd player works perfectly thru her.Along with the amp,I also got the original owners manual, which is mint!!! Inside the manual,I found the initial "performance verification certificate",from 1977,which is when this unit was first purchased.Aside from the 2 mentioned minor flaws, this amp looks like it just came out of the box!!! Immediately following my post,I will have my brother take some pics, but I am not familiar with posting pics,so if someone could send me an email,I will reply with the pics. Rich richd860@hotmail.com
