That's a fantastic deal you got on a very fine luxman amp. I've heard that the pre amp section is the same one as luxman's c1000 pre amp.
I had an L110 and loved the thing except when it was time to move it. That luxman also had one of the best onboard phono sections that I've ever heard.

Only recently,have I gotten the Audio bug.In fact,it started in Feb,during a lay-off.I had lots of time to investigate CL,and thats where I got my first score: a pioneer TX 9800,with a C-21 pre-amp,and a pair of HPM 900's.I am admittingly,a newbie,but learning much from this awesome website.I never had any exposure to Luxman before this amp came along,and after I got it,I found that there was another listed on Eprey.The auction just ended tonight,and it sold for $766.Are these amps rare?

Certainly more rare than the mainstream pioneer, sansui and kenwood vintage units. But they do pop up occasionally. That's an awesome deal you got on a beautiful amp though whether it's rare or not.

I will agree that this amp is in very good condition.I know because I passed
on it. I'm glad you are happy with it. The seller also had a Hitachi HMA-8500,HCA-7500 and Luxman T-110 turner, that I did get.These were in excellent condition,also.

I have to keep an eye for amps like that. I've only got three of 'em, and that is just not gonna cut it.
