That guy is not even interested in his new Kenwood hifi setup, what he's looking at is something more tasty! Just wondering, in that brochure do they show a pair of Kenwood KL-5060 speakers? I just picked up a pair and curious to date these things.
Cheers!
Glen

No, unfortunately, the only Kenwood Speakers in the brochure are the ones in the group shot.

I have a pair of Kenwood KL-7090 speakers that I picked up for a sawbuck recently. I was hoping that I had some more vintage Kenwood literature in the 70salesguy Museum of Modern Electronics archives, but I don't.

Red face Snidely Whiplash rides again!

Remember my thread titled "Snidely Whiplash takes advantage of another widow"?

Well the lady that sold me the 50 CDs for $20.00 had told me that she had a pair of speakers that "sounded real nice". They were in her home when her husband was alive, but she had since stored them in the warehouse at the company where she is employed. I had asked her to check on what brand and model they were, and she later called me back telling me that they were Kenwood KL-7090.

I very politely told her that they were not of interest to me. When I ran into her again at the Garage Sale at her sisters house, she asked me again about the speakers. She said she would really like to have them gone and would I give her a sawbuck for them. I said yes (lightly stroking my handlebar mustache) and went to get them.

I brought them home and cleaned them up a little. They actually sound pretty decent, although they DO sound like a typical Japanese Kabuki speaker.

They WOULD make a nice match with a vintage Kenwood Receiver!

There's a pair in that brochure I'd like to pick up and date also.

You would probably have to bend over a little bit to pick up that pair, she's probably pushing 65 years old by now!!!
