My gear - All JVC

Thought that I'd finally post a pic of my equipment here. All are JVC. Sorry about low quality pics - used my phone.

The A/V setup:

RX-8020 receiver
XV-SA70 DVD player
XV-BP1 BluRay player
TD-W999 double casette player
XL-Z444 CD player
XD-Z505 DAT player
HR-D337MS VCR
AL-L20R turntable
SX-F50 front tower speakers
SP-X60 centre and surround speakers
SP- PW880 subwoofer

The HiFi setup (in the process of being assembled)

P-L10 Laboratory pre amplifier
XL-V1 CD player
SEA 10 equaliser

Missing: M-L10 amplifier, QL-A95 turntable, Zero 10 Speakers, decent casette player.

Looks good; the speakers in particular look nice.

I have a couple of JVC pieces that I really like.

Did you build the rack in the top photo? The design is very good.

I'm not familiar with that TT, but the case looks just like my belt-drive L-L10 parts machine and the silver-bodied QL-L2. Could we get a better picture of it?

JVC made some good stuff. Under the radar and doesn't get the attention some of the other brands. Looking Good !!

I was a fan (maybe one of few) of the SR-201 through SR-501 series with the blue dial and equalizer. My only JVC stuff are KD-75 and KD-95 cassette decks, and a JVC/Nivico 8-track record deck.

JVC is burdened with the bad reputation of producing dreck.

Which, they do.

However, they also produce some fantastic stuff.

An audiophile friend swears by his JVC Dvd/Cd player- and he knows his stuff.

I own some JVC QL TTs- a QL-50, two QL-7s, and a QL-A7. Theyvare nicely designed.

And the JVC speakers, like MJarve's Zero 9s, are stuff that only other speakers dream of being.

Congrats on a nice setup!

I agree. I was lucky enough to get my A-X9 amp about a year ago at a reasonable price. I'll have to try to get it in the rotation more.......

JVC's SX 3 speaker series was reputedly the best-selling speaker in Japan for a while. Their top turntables a few years later were very nice, too. JVC, like most of the big "name" companies, knew how to build good things, when they put their minds to it and didn't let the bean counters trim too much off the quality.

Thanks for sharing those pics!
