Post your homemade wood cases

I am thinking about making a case for my 2220b. just wanted to see what others have done, just to get the creative juices flowing.

Thanks everyone

Along the same lines... does anyone have any plans or drawings detailing marantz case design? I'd like to put together a walnut WC-10U or WC-10, but don't have an existing case to use as a template.

Good thread! I did a rebuild for a pioneer sx-750 (oak), but that won't help us marantz guys!

This would be a fun project. Looking forward to seeing some pics. YD

I would love to see this too. I have been wanting to do this for a while as I have access to a full woodworking/paint & stain shop. Dimensions, materials, and pictures would be great. I was wondering if anyone has used all MDF and applied the veneer themselves.

I made a homemade W-10 case for my 2015. I'll improve the next one. I think it is not too bad for a first effort. Wanted to capture the look of the real one, yet customize it a bit to make it my own. I used the same oak veneer and grain direction on a pair of Bose 301's.

For some reason I cannot post the picture. I'll keep trying

Here is a link to where I was able to post a pic once upon a time.

Yeah, like that, except could you post the finished version down the thread? I tried to upload it from my computer, seemed to go, said it was uploaded. But got nothing.

Here's one I put together for a 2270. Walnut veneer over 5/8 particle board.

All AK's home made case are beautiful. It would be nice if included dimension for each model case.

My case for the 2015 is smaller than the 22 series since it is a smaller receiver. I did use one of my 22xx cases as a model for mine however. The dimentions for mine are 15 5/8 wide, 6 1/4 tall, not including feet, 11 1/4 long.

A real one for the 22xx is; 18 1/2 wide, 6 1/2 tall, 15 5/8 long.

Forgot to mention, my custom case is a replacement for a w-10.
