The non-A series was pretty good, I think. I had a pair of CS-88's for a while, and I thought they were much better sounding than the HPM-100's I had. I moved on to better things, but I was kinda sad to see the CS-88's go. At least I gave them to my dad. The HPM's...see ya later! I recently had a chance at some CS-99A's for a far lower price...
I would love to get my hands on a set of CS-77's. No kabuki designs, or super-tweeters or anything--just a straight-forward 3-way design. And great looking, as well.
