JBL's woofers have thick corn and reproduce heavy bass, and magnetic must be very strong. They are good for jazz to be sure.
Thsoe I own are low-cost models, but I listen to much bigger studio monitors of JBL (4331?) at my favorite jazz cafe. To be honest, West-Lake sounded better. Another jazz cafe was equiped with those. However they were driven by a different amp, so it is not a fair comparison. Thank you for the comment!
