BRIDESHEAD REVISITED

First part of the 20th century: A non-believer is confounded by the complicated adherence to faith of a wealthy English Roman Catholic family.

Rich in color, music and atmosphere.

Stunning, deliberate vampire movie that likely will earn a reputation as one of the best horror films ever made.

In the dead of winter in Sweden, a 12-yr. old boy is living a miserable, picked-on life until he meets 12-yr. old Eli, the strange, androgynous new girl next door. They grow close, and he gets to know she is a vampire, with all the 'appetites' of such a creature....

As far from a teen flick or a cheap horror potboiler as you can get, "LTRoI" is elegant, sad, very violent when need be, and amazingly tender.

Truly both an original film and, even rarer, a new variation on the time-worn vampire theme

C.

i agree 100%. one of the best films in it's genre and one of the best films most people have never heard of.
if you love horror films, take a bite of this one.

"Righteous Kill"

Good, classic DeNiro and Pacino. None of that DeNiro comedy crap, no Pacino playing an incarnation of the guy from Scent of a Woman for 100th time, just a good, cop mystery movie. You can see the twist coming a mile away, but at least Pacino doesn't shout all his lines and DeNiro isn't breastfeeding anyone.

I watched Observe and Report last night. What a piece of crap that was. Very few movies really make me think garbage, this one did.

Before that though we watched The Ugly Truth. Basic romantic comedy, totally saw where it was going, but a very fun movie. Worth the time.

"Dazed and Confused" for the umpteenth time.

Wooderson's T-shirt is the LP cover to Ted Nugent's Amboy Dukes "Tooth, Claw, and Fang."

Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow (Christopher Walken as the headless horseman, Johnny Depp as Ichabod, and Christina Ricci as the love interest).

An HBO documentary by Fenton Bailey- Inside Deep Throat.

It's a 2005 documentary about the 1972 pornographic film Deep Throat and its effects on American#politics, specialty groups and audiences, as well as the effect of all who starred in the film or worked on it.

Just got back from "A Christmas Carrol" with Jim Carrey as Scrooge and the Ghosts, Gary Oldman as Bob Cratchit, Marley, and Tiny Tim, and Colin Firth as Scrooges nephew Fred. I am a huge fan of Gary Oldman, and well he did not disappoint! Jim Carrey and Colin Firth also did quite well in the film, with Carrey doing better than expected. As with all versions of A Christmas Carrol, its a moving story, but however this version did do some unneeded sidetracking, such as an out of place chase, but it was quite a good film none-the-less.

Don't know why I even watched it, I can't stand Shia LaBeouf. Although I have to agree "Robo Warrior" was good

Traitor: A present day look at Islam versus the west. Another good performance from Don Cheadle.
