Hi Folks,
I am in the process of refoaming the woofers on a pair of Infinity RS 4001 Speakers and I hit upon a snag. The woofers have this hard plastic gasket/covering that seem to be stuck firm on the drivers. This plastic covering goes on top of the foam surrounds and I need to remove them for the refoaming. I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove them. Are they stuck on or do they clip on to the metal frame of the driver and there is a trick to remove them?Any suggestions would be appreciated. Here is a picture of the driver and the plastic rim/covering/gasket on top of the surrounds.
