I seem to recall a really slick looking table in Robert Redford's character's mansion in "Indecent Proposal". I've always wondered what it was, but not enough to rent the movie and watch it again...anybody remember what it was? Looked really exotic...VPI, Forsell?

I noticed in Star Trek Into the Darkness Kirk uses a Turntable so even in 2259 Turntables are still in use. As are the Beastie Boys

Not from a movie; Rather, its from a popular TV comedy series: Modern Family.
This is from the end of show credits. Its a rotating record on a turntable, and its tonearm, a Lenco L75 tonearm and headshell:

And apparently you can still get tube amps in the 23rd century.

The Beasties seem to be a Kirk trademark, he was listening to them when he stole his step-dad's Corvette in the previous movie.

Some rather interesting props in the film. Even some Analog Alarm clocks
Yeah I saw the tubes. Looks to be a rather large tube system next to the preamp.

Didn't the opening sequence of Tomb Raider 2 (or whatever the sequel was called) where Jolie is doing gymnastics have some elaborate TT that had a clear platter and a bunch of winding belts?

Just about every Italian giallo film from the 1970s has a turntable in it, along with a bottle of J&B....

A Technics SL-1200 was also featured prominently in the 2011 film "Shame"

The turntable in the new Star Trek film is by a company in the UK (I think) called Audiowood. They make several & this one is one of the latest. No ideas on how they sound but they make a lot of interesting looking gear.
