Built on Realistic MC1000 boxes with RayW baffles I've got my second set of Indignia's done. Thought I'd try a camo look this time:
Although, they strike me as a "camo/tribal" thing.
Whatever... Not sure if I like the look, or not. Like the first set, I can always put them into "stealth mode".

Thanks! Relative to the first pair I made three years ago they seem to have a bit less "thunder". Maybe will improve over time. Otherwise, sound the same to me.

And I've got those in the works, and a friend is working on a pair as well. They should be done in the next week or two. My friend is a professional woodworker, so I've had fun playing with his fancy tools. We're building from his pile of spare wood, so mine are cherry and his are curly maple. They're going to look fantastic when they're finished, and sound even better!

Hi everyone. I am new to DIY audio and plan on making the Indignia's as my first project. I have been struggling to find various parts for the crossovers in the UK so have decided I will order everything from Parts Express and get it shipped, however, they are out of stock of the 7 Ohm 10w resistors. The closest I can find are 6.8Ohm 10w, what would the effect of using these be? Higher output of the tweeter? Would it make much of a difference? Could I, and would it be better to, put a 3 and 4 Ohm resistor in series in place of the 7 Ohm Resistor?

Hello guys! Thank you, for the inspiration and all that technical information I got from here, when following this thread.
It was my first pair of speakers to build and although I expected them sound good, they are absolutely impressive!! Those speakers sound better, than I ever heard any stereo system in my life.
As a material I used baltic birch, because of the visual effect this cross-banded structre gives to the edges and specially to the curved port hole
. And also as the material name states, it is quite common material to use, in where I live (Estonia). For finishing i used wood oil, which revealed those veneer stripes even better. Speakers are now in the bookshelf and fit there perfectly. Here are some pictures I took, after finishing them in my garage:
