I sign in by listing my Clearaudio gear so far: Emotion TT, Nano phono preamp and SmartMatrix record cleaning machine. I´m very happy with all three of them and hope to be climbing up the stairs of their product line (I lust for a Champion TT!).

I'm a happy Performance owner. I'd like to hear anyones experience comparing it to another brand.

From my experience, in it's price class it would rank #3 after the Well tempered Amadeus and Roksan Radius 5 mk II. Some would also prefer the VPI Classic to it, I would not. All 4 of those tables represent great value.

Performance SE owner here, have a LOMC Dynavector 17D3 on mine with the Dynavector P-75 MKII phono pre. I auditioned the Roksan and found it to be way to expensive for its performance. The Well tempered you mentioned goes for 3400 here, so it would be a cold day in hell before I paid that for an audiophile golf ball....

Here it is on a temp stand, still waiting for my rack:

Alberta...I guess you'd know about that cold day!

My experience comes from a dealer that carries all three and really all of the tables perform wonderfully and have different strengths and weaknesses.

Lovely pic...I'm thinking about getting the P75 Mk II to replace my Nano next year.

Does my Marantz TT-15S1 count? Clearaudio made it, and the cartridge's branded Clearaudio (Virtuoso ebony MM).

(I don't know whether Clearaudio was the OEM of the turntable in my current avatar, though)

Nice pic!, where did you get that clamp? I'm thinking of getting one for my performance. By the way, didn't your performance se come with a maestro?

You know, I listened to the vpi classic, scout and an aries and the vpi's strike me as too thin sounding. I didn't think they were as musical as either an LP12 or especially the clearaudio tt's.

Turns out my dealers distributor was also the dist. for Dynavector as well. So he supplied it with the 17D3 instead. Everything I mentioned above along with Nordost Enchantress interconnects for 4250.00 tax included. The clamp is from ttweights.com, it's great. I actually want to get one of the smaller brass ones now.

Pardon the interruption..

Not a Clearaudio owner. Yet. But my wife saw the Emotion in blue (Bluemotion?) and LOVED it. She said she would buy me one for my 50th birthday. The bad news: I'm 47 and I hear it's already been discontinued. :tears:

Perhaps you can find a NOS one and ask for an early gift...

The Emotion is listed in the Clearaudio homepage: http://www.clearaudio.de/eng/lw_emotion.html

On the other hand, the local dealer told me that the Emotion is the model that sells the most units even today. Perhaps the rumor could be put in doubt?

Not an owner but a fan. I really liked the Concept when I heard it, and the Performance looks wonderful, too. I plan on getting the Concept for my second system if I ever get my main system complete.

You are in the club!

Since I am now someplace (home) where Photobucket's not blocked... das Ding an sich:

The album spinning is an early US Decca pressing of Who's Next that I found at the dump a while back. Best sounding pressing of that seminal album in the house, as it happens.
