Hi all,
I'm Maurice aka MauZ or Chico..
and i'm from the Netherlands..
I started with a Sony 5.1 set that now probably has been recycled ...
After my divorce, I went for a Harman Kardon 5.1 (AVR 335 with DVD 22) continued with a 5.1 speaker KEF. Type KHT.2005.3. That set was wired with Monster Cable. (I did not know better ..
)
Since I wanted to switch to Blu ray I've sold the HK to a colleague and briefly a Yamaha 7.1 (RVX-567) was purchased.
Then I wanted more dynamic in the room (living room was 45m2 incl. Kitchen), so a front speaker set of Jamo (608) purchased. Shortly thereafter, I also replaced the rear speakers for a set of Jamo (606) because for one reason or another I was not completely satisfied and have the KEF set which I only have the center used the Yamaha HT reciever sold to friends of mine and I ended up with Marantz. My parents had Marantz when I was growing up and especially the amplifier lived very long. Reviews are still top notch and the current design speaks for itself. Especially in this price range in which I was looking for.
I went for the Marantz SR 5004 and still running strong after several years.
Set up time in my previous home.
TV: Samsung Plasma 50 '
Blu Ray: Samsung BD D5300
AV Reciever: Marantz SR 5004 SG
Speaker: Front: Jamo S608 Back: Jamo S606 Center: Kenwood ..: -o
Wiring: Monster Cable
External hard drive for music: 2x1 TB Lacie Neil Poulton Design
Set up after the necessary changes in recent years, including relocation.
The Jamo's has left the scene for a while already. They have been replaced for TAGA F100 Platinum Harmony V2 with an associated center speaker. In multi-layer piano lacquer in the color white.
Surrounds of the same brand are still on the wish list. :-D I'm still with Yamaha's ever purchased the necessary effects in movies.
Fronts are also decouples through granite tiles and are bi-amped / Bi-wired connected with Nakamichi banana plugs (Yes I know they are not officially banana plugs make it but they like and they do their job: wink
.
Also a DAC also from TAGA was purchased where my laptop or mobile phone regularly playing due to Spotify.
Interlink of JKE Hifi connects the TAGA DAC with Marantz.
Center is located on a bracket from B-TECH.
Acoustics is also improved by hanging things up on the wall

Minor upgrade from last week! My fronts are now connected with an another speaker cord. Namely JIB HF-004 2 x 2.5m.
Went back to single wire ...
I would also bought a PM this week and a JIB interlink but that's just on hold due to circumstances. >

Preliminary wish / to do list;
PM 7003 or 4 (to make regarding the stereo portion is a step forward)
CD 5 or 6000 series (Because a dedicated CD player gives a better view in stereo compared to the UD5007 that I will use only. BD / DVD and maybe SACD)
TAGA surrounds speakers
Wires for the planned upgrades mentioned above.
Tweak the acoustics.
Further, .. who knows what else is going to change ... What I've read here and on other forums is that you are always busy ..
End of my brief proposal topic.! , D; D
greets,
Mauz
