What's Pioneer in your rig?

Hey all, newb here. I was linked here from a car audio board I moderate, and saw the Pioneer forum... I knew I had to join.

I was wondering what Pioneer gear everyone has in their home rigs. I was looking at Plasmas a couple years ago, but I bought the 533 TV. The Plasmas looked terrible, but I happened upon this TV and was blown away. I had always like the Elite Reciever sound and I came across a great deal on the 45... It seemed to make sense that earlier this year when my DVD started to take a dump... I lneeded to look into Elite again.

My list is:

Pioneer SDD533HD5 53 inch widescreen HD RPTV

Elite VSX45TX 7.1 reciever

Elite DV45A multi-player (DVD/SACD/DVDA)

ELITE

I bought my VSX45TX receiver two years ago new in the box with warrenty for 725.00 and other than a PIA to keep setup right I love it. . .

Also like Pioneer CRTs. . . but use Sony. . .

Pioneer was my first real stereo in 1973, a SX-939 with a PL 12D tt. Currently have:

SX-1250 receiver with HPM 100 speakers and a PL 520 tt
SX-1010 receiver
SX-939 receiver
TX9500 tuner

TX-7800
Trying to get a SX-1280

PD-65

Pioneer addict here:

TX-9800 Tuner
SA-9800 Amp
SG-9800 EQ
PL-570 TT
HPM-100 Spkrs

Great sound. Great look. All at a great price...provided you're a smart and patient shopper!!

Pioneer VSX-D811S as my main HT Receiver downstairs, but an old Pioneer SX-1050 as an amp for my front speakers. The pre-amp section on the SX-1050 never worked since I bought it, and the VSX-D811S has pre-outs, so it seems like the perfect combo especially since IMO the main drawback of the D811S is that it's underpowered.

I also have an SX-780 that I use mainly for headphones, but I do have some really small speakers hooked up to it for when i'm too lazy to swich over to my fisher receiver.

VSX-D811S is in the top right.

I don't have much but do have

SX-737 in near mint condition (love the way this sounds!)

CT- F650 Cassette Deck near mint (too bad I don't have any cassettes....looks nice though)

Less vintage- CLD 750 LD player
DV-563A SACD/DVD-A player.

Wish I had a SA-9100 and a pair of HPM-100s but they will come eventually when I can find a decent pair close enough.

My Pioneer system is:

SX1980 receiver, CT1000 cassette, RT909 RtR,

Forgot the speakers CS99As, CS88As

Also have a couple of SX1250s, but not using them.

The only Pioneer "in my rig" is a Pioneer DV-440 DVD player. If we were to expand this to Pioneers "that I own," I'd add a CT-F2121 to the list.

nothing spectacular. . the SX-780 receiver, well, it's not bad, i just miss my yamaha (don't shoot me!). . should have it back soon (a CR-2020). . .

seems like the SX-780 is the one that everybody and his brother had. . .

oh yeah, and a laserdisc player, nothing special (and doesnt play CDs worth a shit), I think CLD-980. .

oh of course, my turntable, completely manual, PL-512XL, fake woodgrain that i got for 20 bucks, i think its my favorite of the pioneer stuff i have. . . i admire its simplicity. . .

MadMark,
That is one sick setup!

BTW, I forgot about the TV tuner they made, how does it sound despite the fact it is mono?

Me an
SX-3700, CT-F800, Project 100's and a newer SX-2700 which bit the dust but gave 14 years of long service for a black box.
SA-8800 & TX7800 is on my wish list.
Scratch those just recently aquired along with an RG-2. growing ever so slowly.

Have only a pioneer disc player bought at Aldi's for $80 and a very nice pair of HPM-100's ($10 for the pair at yard sale this spring!) hooked to my garage system.
