KR9600 no safety click.

OK I broke the tuner pointer off and the tuner wires off cos I attemped to get that center plate out - which I did, after cutting the bottom rail out - so you can remove the wires and then unscrew and remove that plate.
Anyway where does the wires from the tuner pointer go ? It seems to want to break off clean off its moorings.

Someone with an intact 9600 please tell me - I seem to not be able to tell at all.

Thanks.
Srinath.

Cover pics

Oh the pieces got back from powdercoating.
I had forgotten what powdercoating does to these things. Plus its the first amp part I am powder coating. I am used to bike parts, I'd coat anything, and they would end up barely recognizeable.

Check out these pics.

The center panel was really fugly. I had to cut the bottom hole cross bar to get it out, else I had to untwirl 1000 wires. I've got a few loose wires, most notable the 7v AC out from the fuse board. I also made a few mistakes, so if anyone is planning a dismantle of their 9600, please ask. Hey, I'm useless electronically, have to be good for something right ...

Cool.
Srinath.

Couple of before pics. I took these to show me where the wires I cut go. Ofcourse that doesn't include the wires that broke via my stupidity.
Cool.

See that nice blue wire in the pic. Where does it go. Its connected to pin 6 of the fuse board. It carries 7v AC out of the fuse board.
Thanks.
Srinath.

I am not powering it up with its guts falling out like that.
Maybe next week. Its getting more assembled and rear panel has rust spots that have to be painted. Then It will be powered up and I'll check.
The wire now is completely broke off.
Cool.
Srinath.

What are these "rare" boards ?

What are these apparently rare foldback boards in a 9600 ?

Cool.
Srinath.

Oh, well, I guess I can copy that one on diyaudio and put those components in a separate circuit board.
Thanks.
Srinath.

I found a link in Japan they did replaced TA-100W of trio KA-7500(aka KA-8300 or 9800) with separate circuit board:
http://www.suwa-koubou.jp/repair/ka_7500/ka_7500_2.html

http://www.excite-webtl.jp/world/en....suwa-koubou.jp/repair/ka_7500/ka_7500_2.html

It is not for TA-200W but i hop you may get some usefull informations for your modding.

I am not smart enough to do or understand these. I have to buy somehting that will work off ebay and solder it in.
Cool.
Srinath.

Parting the unit out on Ebay ???.. should ask around here on Bartertown.. if people could use those parts.

I hadn't considered that. I will, I am still hoping to find this one's matched 9600, cos I know of quite a few round here.
Cool.
