Hooking up a tape machine on a 500C.

I want to playback the tape through the 500C.

I also want to record through the 500C and be able to listen to what I'm recording at the same time.

"Tape Out" from the tape machine would go where on the 500C?
"Tape In" from the tape machine would go where on the 500C?

I've hooked up many tape machines on amps before but they all had simple "Tape In, Tape Out" configuration. The tape jacks on the back of the 500C have sort of thrown me for a loop. :scratch2:

Well, I know that "Tape Mon" is for monitoring the recording head if that helps.

What's the user guide tell you? If you don't have one, check the Digital Docs forum. I think there's one there.

Tape out goes to Tape Monitor, Tape in goes to Recorder Out.

Checked the Digital Docs forum ...... it's not there. Schematics & service manual are there, but not the user manual (at least I did not see one).

Found the user manual on "Hifi Engine".

All set.
