To do battle with my Marantz SR4021 receiver that shouldn't sound as good as it does. It battled a Sony STR-GX80ES and won with a whiter preamp and cooler running power amp. The Sony was a propane grill you could cook a steak on.
I won the Arcam for a decent price. I'm hoping it's phono section is going to be superior and the power section has that something to make me go wow. Made in UK vs China.
