My usual gear pic thread is this, but here's a showcase for my new rig:

Wow... I followed your other thread but those seem like a serious investment!

Very cool . Do you like the way they sound in the room ?

Yes. They sound great. Should get even better once I get to calibrate them using a microphone. Hard to imagine this can get better though!

I had a great deal. But still it required me to liquidate a lot of my other gear.

Come back when you're serious about your speakers. :D

:D

Talk about putting 50 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag (meaning size only not that they are crap speakers :D ). Did you use a shoehorn to get them in?

Not you can really annoy the neighbors with 1 watt of power.

lol I moved them myself with a removalist dude with a van. It was tough, but connecting them altogether and get them to sound properly was way more daunting.

My wife and I joke about how they resemble assholes :D

Holy F***! :jawdrop:

Mesmerizing!

Rome

Thanks guys!

Respect.....
you have made a considerable leap and bound, from the first setup that I saw,
when are you getting a bigger house ?
that's about the last thing left to make an improvement.

This would totally work in my largish room.
One day I will achieve this level of awesome.

Great . As long as you and your wife like them . If they put a big smile on your face when
Your listening that's what it's all about . Enjoy . One more thing are those dipole subs ?

Thanks mate. Sure a bigger room would help but we love our little unit. When we can finally afford a big house in this neighbourhood maybe we will change our mind :D

In all seriousness, I initially thought these horns might not work the best in our small lounge but the sound result is quite phenomenal.

I had the similar mindset except I didn't even have a largish room :D

Keep looking, you can run into a nice deal!

Nah. Just traditional ported bass bins. They run to 200Hz in this setup. Work very nicely here.

Thanks man. Currently a 300B driving the 340 horns. TPA3116-based amps driving the 160 & 550 horns. The bass bins are being driven by an Emotiva power amp. All being fed signal from a tubed pre & miniDSP.

It may be the Aussie woman allow there men to bring home such unique speakers .
I could not getaway with such a purchase . I pushed it as far as I could .
David is a lucky man . He has WAF in spades .

It's true what they say, Aussies are fu*kin nuts!
Wow

Thank you for the compliment! :D

I guess the tricky part is that my wife isn't exactly Aussie. Not quite yet anyway :D

It also helps that she's been a photographer for a long while and appreciates the stuff that typically men dig. She likes cars and watches way more than I do!

Quoted for truth.
Seriously nice rig man. Hope you enjoy thoroughly!

A nocturnal shot. I rearranged the absorption panels on the sidewalls using the good old mirror method.

The rear-ported bass bins were pulled away from the rear wall a bit this morning while the little coffee-bag absorption panels (which appear above them in the photo) were placed behind them.

All this improved the clarity by a large margin!
