KP-5022A with V-42 quad cartiridge ?

I picked up a KP-5022A today. Box, manual, 2 headshells, 2 carts. A V-41 attached to one headshell, a V-42 in the other. A box with a 7,000 yen price tag on it that says N-42 stylus. The guy who sold it to me told me he rembembers the N-42 being a shibata needle with the V-42 a quad cart... Anybody know anything about this? Any thoughts on this TT ? I've heard the Kenwood V carts are audio technicas?

It's an AT12S rebadged for Kenwood.
