Hi egp823.
I have an AX-2000 too, which I am wanting to bring back into use, and wonder if you can tell me about the connecting pins between the "send" and "receive" sockets on your one, please? Do the pins make a connection with both signal and the outer ground ring of the socket on the back of the amp, or just the central signal pins? I don't have the original shorting pins for my AX 2000 and if I use a set of RCA phono leads in place of the original Yamaha connectors, the volume is way too high even at the lowest setting on the control. I am wondering if this is because of an actual fault or whether somehow connecting the central pin and the outer ground ring is the cause of the issue.
If you are able to look at your connecting pins and let me know, I would be really grateful.
Thank you.
