Moved up to Infinity

Just replaced my serviceable Yamaha NS.A7.2 bookshelves with a pair of really clean Infinity CS-3006 Crescendos. Quite happy, so far.

I've got them in my smallish studio, up off the floor, but about 6-8 inches from the wall. Is that too close? How much clearance do they need?

Just move em around till you like the sound. I usually go by the manual just for initial setup. Then just move em till I find the sound I like. Every person and every room is different.
