CDC 775 Remote

I have just purchased a CDC 775 without a remote (It has not arrived yet). I have in my possession a Yamaha CDC1 remote. I am wondering if this remote will operate any of of the 775 operations, or should I go ahead an order the CDC3 remote called for?

They should be interchangeable. I have used several older players with my cdc4 with no issues. In fact I just tried it with my brand new cd-s300 and it worked fine.
