Hi
One of my two Yam M-35 power amps has a fault. It probably happenend when the rca terminals on the back of my Yam C-70 preamp broke up (now all fixed) and shorted out a couple of things .

Left hand channel seems fine...........Right hand channel BARELY makes a sound and has intermittent distortion on the tiny bit of audible sound.

Any ideas?I don't think any of these Yamaha amps I have were ever available new here in the UK.I also have A Yam M-80 for the bottom end of my triamp system. However theYamm-35's were manufactured for 240v.The M-80 has international voltage choice and the C-70 was completely changed to take 240v.(Not by me though!)

Regards

Sounds like a dirty connection. Like fouled protect relay contacts , cold solder connections , dirty switch (2-channel/4-channel switch) , dirty input attenuator control or even still a faulty RCA interconnect.
