First Watt J2 at 25 wpc into 8 ohms, maybe a little different into my 12 ohm Zu Omen speakers.

Simply love this amp, the warmth of tubes, but the bass control my SE triode amps couldn't dream of.

Driven by an deHavilland Ultraverve III tube preamp.

voted 100 to199 .my Yamaha ca 1010 is 90 per at 8 ohm but I run at 4 ohm which should be between 120 to 140 wpc.

Since this thread is still rolling:

I voted (hopefully with a correct interpretation) but don't remember which button I pushed, and never posted a description. I'm bi-amping with a Crown PS-200 on the HF section and a PS-400 on the LF. That's a conservative total of 290wpc @8ohms. The speakers are JBL 4345s. I've never seen the IOC lights even flicker.

I do my main listening at my computer, which is 35 wpc of Dynaco tube power.
My "crank it" amp is a 150 wpc Denon POA 1500.

Main Amplifier in Main System (Living Room) -- Adcom GFA-545 MkII (100 Watts Per Channel into 8 Ohms; 150 Watts Per Channel into 4 Ohms).

Audio/Video Receiver in Home Theater (Bedroom) -- Harman/Kardon AVR-3600 (85 Watts Per Channel x 7).

Currently, 20 watts rms ftc from a Sherwood S9500c integrated amp but may be going high power with 30 watts rms ftc with my newly repaired Sherwood SEL200 receiver. The SEL was their highend signature receiver made to compete with the Marantz 18. The companies competed on quality of design, build and, specs other than power back then. Almost all of the companies has their totl receivers power ratings in the 30-50 watt range. The 48 was 35 watts, the Sony STR6120 was about the same, the McIntosh 1700, also as well as the Fisher 500T.

I do not know the actual watts in my main system, who does?
Besides, I don't think the number (if known) matters, but perhaps in the several thousands watts?
This setup was assembled in pursuit of the best yet still affordable high musical quality at SP levels equal to electrified "live" performance.

Subs JBL SR-4718X (4ohm) driven by one CROWN MA-5002 VZ
Mains John Smith 3-way driven by one CROWN MA-3600 VZ

Rated is 3.5W per channel, +20dB over my loudest average listening level of 35mW. I doubt I have ever pushed close to 1 watt out of these amps in the ten years I've enjoyed them.
