Anyone else going to the Stone Mountain Hamfest, here in Lawrenceville GA? Here's the info for it:
http://stonemountainhamfest.com/
It's the largest ham-fest in Georgia... it completely fills up the Gwinnett Fairgrounds!
I always get a boneyard spot on Saturday, and sell off stuff I built, haven't used yet, or otherwise think needs a better home. I'm gonna have a truckload of stuff this year, I think... speaker drivers, pairs of speakers, dead amp chassis units, a couple restored amps, tubes, etc...
It's been a good place for finding tube amp parts... and even if you don't buy or sell anything, it's fun just looking around at some pretty heavy-duty old hardware! Just the guys who show up with scads of old military comm gear, makes it worthwhile, IMHO.
My rule is to always sell more stuff than I buy... even if it's only one dollar more. That's at least a token victory of sorts...
Regards,
Gordon.
