Ok, so here's my question.....
Im running a Yamaha A1, circa 1980. I have run across a Yamaha M4 from the same era. Would I be able to perceive a jump in sound quality by bi-amping my speakers, using the more powerful M4 on the woofers and the A1 on the mids and highs and using the A1 as the pre for the M4? I have a pair of Paradigm studio monitors that have provisions for bi, or tri-amping. Here's a couple links to look at. Any input would be appreciated before I lay down more cash. Loundness is not the issue here. The M4 has plenty of power!
