I've got an SA-420 with a blown power transformer (think it was driven hard for too long) but I haven't come across one of these and I'm not too confident at working out the voltage it will need to operate again. Before I buy a new transformer I wanted to test it. I've got a large bench power supply and I thought maybe I cud use it to power up the SA-420 to make sure its ok but I have two questions.
Firstly, what voltages does the amp want?
Secondly, it should quite happily accept a DC current if I bypass the transformer?
