New Playpretty...

Yesterday, I sallied forth up to Church Hill to get a Blimpie's sub. There is a relatively NEW Gun Shop a little further up the road in Kingsport I wanted to check out. So I did, UNESCORTED, which is DANGEROUS. Don't have to look very hard in a Gun Store to find something that just HAS to Come Home W/Moi.... This was NO Exception- a Sig Sauer Mosquito started "Talking" to me-a CYOOT widdle .22LR autopistol. Out the door w/2 boxes of .22LRs for $470, tax, license, the works. Haven't shot it yet, but I'm looking for GOOD things from it-Sig/Sauer is a PRIMO manufacturer. I guess anytime you can buy a pretty decent NEW gun for under $500 nowadays, you're doing GOOD. Prolly shoot it Saturday-I'll let y'all know.

I gave the same pistol to my wife for Valentine's day, and she loves it. It loves CCI Mini-Mag ammo. I had to remove the barrel and polish the ramp to get consistent feeds on other ammo.

At least the instruction manual on this one actually gives you some DECENT info on cleaning & maintenance of the gun, & is NOT altogether one big "Thou Shalt NOT..." like the Uzi Pistol I bought last summer, & presumes the owner has an IQ above room temperature..

Congrats Sandy. It seems the availability of .22 ammo may be improving a little, as long as the gun isn't real picky. But I figger an ol' spiteful cuss like'n yourself has plenty of baby lead stored away to wear out a young man's pointin finger.

I shoot my .22's much more often than the big stuff.

Oh, yeah. My "Most Shot" gun has to be my little Browning Lever-Action .22. Supposedly got "Taken" in the deal, when I swapped an Encom .45-Don't ask-for it. The Encom was "Supposedly" worth $100 more on paper, but it was a REAL "POS", & I was glad to be rid of it. The Browning works DANDILY w/any version/variety of .22 you wanna put in it, except for .22 Magnums. You can load it w/22CB caps, & have, for all intents & purposes, a "Silenced" weapon. GREAT for giving Grackels & Starlings HELL in the summer when they roost in trees, & CRAP all over EVERYTHING...
