Really nice speaker stands. They are rather rare. :thmbsp:
I've only seen 2 pairs for sale in the last 9 years. Yours are the 3rd pair I'm aware of.
I also have a pair that I always use. I bought mine for $125 plus shipping about 8 years ago. Not a bad price for old wood.
Not fancy but very retro! I think the second pair went for about the same price, or close to it anyway. They fit SP-2000 speakers 'perfectly': exact width and depth. They are only about 2 inches high but high enough. Gets them off the floor. Really nice for speakers like ours.
Sansui also made a pair of 'flat black' ones, with the same type painted logo, that were 8 or 10 inches high. Nice. Seen them for sale 'twice' on Yahoo Japan but one of the pair was damaged, the other pair was fine. Wish I had a pair.
I like these wooden stands because they are so simple in design, they are very solid (stable-strong), they function perfect, and they 'look' early '70s and look great with the lattice speakers. But no one even sees them really, they just blend right in with the speakers.
What speakers were they made for?? Year??
