Under the radar vintage mid wattage receivers??

I am a fan of vintage mid wattage receivers. The prices of mid wattage vintage receivers such as the Pioneer SX-750 and SX-737, Marantz 2230 to 2250, sansui 5000 (and other sui's) are becoming insane on the auction site. I've got an Onkyo TX-2500 MK11 on its way. What are some other "under the radar" vintage receivers in the 30-50 w/ch range that will compare well with the already mentioned Pioneers, Marantz, & Sui's?

Fisher 205. An excellent little pre-Sanyo Fisher built by Hitachi to Fisher specs back in '74. Awesome tuner, very warm capacitor coupled amp section and super cool looking. Very few know about this line from Fisher, if you can find one they are usually very inexpensive and totally worth it!

The Luxman R1040 and R1050. I own both and will put them head to head with any similarly powered receivers!

I have a Hitachi HA-4500 Integrated in silver face with red LED VU Meters. I believe 35-40 wpc. Dead silent. No complaints for use in the work room.

The Akai AAs should be mentioned here. I own the AA-930, looks like a Pioneer 727 clone, and an AA-1050, that is very similar build to contemporary Yamahas. Both are 50 Watts at 8 Ohms, and sound quite good. They can get a little noisy in the higher range, but nothing that can't be fixed.

I have a Nikko 7075 at 38 wpc and a Sherwood S-7300 at 42 watts. Both are very nice in their on ways, and I think they can still be found relatively cheaply. BTW has anyone noticed that prices have gone loony in the last year, or is that just a local issue?

Whole bunch of Tandberg receivers though they are starting to trend up in price lately, so not sure they quite make the under the radar category:

TR 1020, TR 1040, TR 1055
TR 2040, TR 2045

Just outside that power range but equally good:

TR 2025, TR 2030, TR 2060, TR 2055

Exceptional FM, very good sonics, good phono input circuits.

Hitachi SR series, 504 to 904. Beats every other vintage receiver I've heard, for sound quality. Plus, they look good. :thmbsp:

HK330b as mentioned, and surprised that there is no recognition for Kenwood.. KR4070 is sweet, (short of the power switch issue which is pretty easily sorted out) shoot, there is a KR6600 right now available with no bids starting at less than 30.

Prices on the "name" brand gear on the auction site are becoming prohibitive. I bought a decent SX-750 3 yrs ago for 50.00. Now, not so much. That's the reason for this thread. :D

Under the radar leaves out the likes of the Marantz 18 and 19 and McIntosh 1500 and 1700.

I will nominate the Sherwood SEL200 at 40 watts.
Philips 796/786 receivers at 45 watts. The 785 falls in at 25.
Sony STR6060 at 35 watts.
KLH Twenty-Seven but can not find an official rms rating. An Audio Lab ad states 30 watts.
Any of the HK x30 receivers; I think all are between 30 and 50 watts.

Not sure but think these also fall into the criteria:
Most of the US Sherwood made receivers and the CP 7xxx series.
JVC JRS201
Sony STR6055, 6050
