Yamaha RX-750 output fades in and out...

Just picked up a Yamaha RX-750 receiver. Looks great, removed the cover, everything seems ok. Cleaned it up a bit....attached speakers ( several sets, multiple sources, different interconnects, headphones)

The out put is "scratchy" and goes in and out sometimes just one channel sometimes both. Does this with both headphones and speakers.

Any suggestions?

Great receiver.

It is the source selector switch.

Deoxit the switches and controls. May be all it needs.

Yes. Try deoxit on the switch in every access hole, switch it back and forth, repeat; maybe several times over several days. It is a common problem on models similar to this (RX-770 here). As Avionic (above) says, this should be all it needs- it was for mine!
