Looking to ship large speaker cabinets from US to Canada, and having trouble finding common carrier for less than my right arm. Who have you guys used or checked with in the past?

Depending on the size of the item, I have actually heard good things about Greyhound as a shipper. Its depot to depot though, not door to door. Someone also told me that apparently Fastenal stores will do store to store shipments. No experience using them, no clue on pricing, just something that might be worth a look.

Greyhound stole an entire shipment from me; it just vanished and the claim was a total nightmare. I use Uship, and you don't need to palletize.
Tried them today ... Despite having a store just down the road from me, and a zillion in Canada, they said they can't ship to Canada.
Very interesting, thanks guys. I might have to send a half-pallet to Brooklyn in a few weeks and this has got to be worth a look.
