Kenwood KR-6200 Sudden Fail

When I turned it on today, the front panel including the 2 meters light up but the needles in the meters do not move and there is no soind. I also tried PHONO with my turntable and no sound.

Normally after I turn the unit on after a few seconds there is a click or a pop. Now that does not happen.

Any thoughts where the problem might be?

Thank you.

Do you have any electronics skills? Otherwise I think it's improbable you can fix it on your own. Then consider there's electrocution hazard, another reason to stay away from its internals if you're not comfortable with it.

First of all - What Spaghetti said.

If you are just looking for a probable cause. Let your technician know what you posted here. He will probably start troubleshooting the speaker relay.

It's nothing that can be fixed by wiggling knobs or anything outside the case, so leave it to someone who is qualified.
