Do these subs have a known problem with the amp going bad.Mine powers on but have no sound.I was hoping it could be a bad capacitor.Something I could fix on my own

Yes they do. Do a search on google for Klipsch sub 10 bad amp.

They usually have power supply issues if driven too hard for long periods of time. You may have a amp failure as it powers up.:scratch2: Remove the plate amp and look for burnt or discolored parts. There use to be a member on the Klipsch factory forum that repaired the amp/power supply and did not charge too much. I looked and now that the forum has changed a lot of the old threads are gone :thumbsdn: Post up on the Klipsch forum and see if that member still repairs them.

I bought this used not knowing it had this problem.Will a Klipsch KSW-150 amp work with the sub 10

Thank you.I saw a KSW 150 on ebay for 60.00 thats why I wanted to see if that would fit a sub 10
