Never seen these speakers before......

That kid reminds me of me when I was young... Although he doesn't look nearly a filthy.

I'm curious about those speakers too. If I was in AZ I'd probably roll the dice just to find out. It's not every day you come across speakers that are 63 inches tall.

They sure look nice and must have been very expensive new. I hope someone grabs them and let's us know how they sound..

Kinda scouring around the webs, and not a lot of info. People that DO know BML seem to speak very highly of them. Damn, it makes me want them more now.

I recognize the two 6.5" drivers which are Audax bextrene cones.
They a have a low sensitivity around 84-86 db and low power handling capabilities.

Uploaded for posterity — "A rare pair of Tracer 200i Sound Odyssey Planar Column by BML electronics of Chicago. These are late 70's early 80's and were the flagship for this company. I believe only 4 speakers existed in their line. They are huge and very very heavy at 151 lbs each. One of the best constructed speakers I have ever come across. Built like a tank and very solid. They stand just over 63" tall 27" wide and 12" at the base. Each grill alone weighs 7lbs. They consist of 2 - 6" (7" with rubber surrounds) mid drivers with rubber surrounds, 1-10" heavy paper done woofer and a 3-1/2 tweeter. They are fuse protected and all drivers sound great."

I ha pair of ads L810's a few years back that had those woofers in them instead of the usual ones. Sounded good though.

For $325 I'd be setting up a time to audition them. They look like very nice speakers indeed.

Very good value there, it seems to me; anyone local should go check them out, make a discounted offer (as a matter of principle :D) and get them. Sonically, they won't sound like real planars, but probably much like the best of British speakers (but slightly more revealing).

The seller --unless they inherited those-- really should know that "planar" doesn't just mean thin in side profile. Those are NOT planar speakers, as audiophiles know the term. Anyway, I don't think it matters since there is obviously not any intentional deception going on with that, and from a purely geometric standpoint, it's understandable.

Physically, they remind me a little bit of TimeFrames (also not planar!) on steroids .

Those are bextrine Audax mids, very nice. I can't figure out what the 3 1/2" tweeters are. That kid looks just fine BTW. If you like the way they sound, make an offer, as he's probably not getting many (any) other calls. Unknown brand and large size shrinks the market to almost nobody.

When two great factors come together its time to get off your butt and check
them out.
As my mother always reminded me "snooze you lose" well she actually said something similar but you get the point.
