Hello, I have 2 rooms. In one main room I have my Kenwood 6000 running 2 sets of speakers. It is hooked up to a tape deck and 2 turntables. I am trying to run the pre-amp to another receiver in another room so i can have sound in my whole house.. However when I take out the pre amp plugs the speaker channels quit on my main room. I have read that I can simply add y-Plugs in place of the metal bridges and that should let me run the A+B channels on my Kenwood while supplying power to my other receiver in the other room.

this is what I am looking at: http://www.amazon.com/Cadence-Acous...F8&qid=1399313101&sr=8-12&keywords=rca+y+plug

Will these do the job?

Yes, that would work. Plug one of the plugs into the KA-6000 pre-amp output, the other male plug into the KA-6000 amp input and connect a standard male to male RCA cable between the "Y" cable female RCA jack and receiver in the other room. Note, the preamp output level of the Kenwood KA-6000 is a lower than normal. You may or may not have enough signal level to successfully drive the receiver in the other room. If that is the case, adding an amplifier/driver will solve that problem. Good listening.
