Calling All Yamahas. Time to Post Your Pics

Can't remember if I've posted this pic before so apologies if I have: a Yamaha T-2 which I bought about 2 years ago:

Yes, it kinda is. :D

I've missed out on a couple on ebay lately while trying to figure out how to wrangle my wife's blessing and that just makes me want one even more. It's actually kind of pathetic - especially when I realize I am responding to somebody who has McIntosh and Accuphase gear.

Good lord, do you have a money printer or something? :D
What's your wife got to do with it? ;) My wife gave up long ago and just shakes her head when gear comes & goes, if she even notices these days. My gear is the "fruit of my labor" of some 50+ years. Plus, nothing is purchased new.

Very nice silver-faced T-2. A rare one, indeed.

My lovely CA-800 just back from Champlifier! Yeah!!! Class A sounds great and I really love the amazing bass and clarity this amplifier brings to my JBLs!

Cool stuff, everybody!!!

Mine is nowhere near as cool as any of these!!! :tears: I wish I had the money to throw around to buy all those awesome vintage amps and receivers y'all have. Mine is about a year old now, and I'm still loving it. It's a R-S300 -- cheap and cheerful, but it sounds much more expensive than it actually was. I only wish it made more watts... :scratch2:

It really does have a very natural, fluid sound. The Pure Direct feature is great, too (bypasses the tone, balance, and loudness controls).

Up top is 4seatpilot's now repaired, burning in and sounding fantastic B-1 and down below is my rock solid reconditioned B-1. Both have had full cap replacements including the main supply dual caps. He's coming over to pick it up in a couple of days. :tresbon: :thmbsp:

Got myself an 810 after weeks (WEEKS!!!) of looking.

There's another thread on it down somewhere on the message board, but if anybody has one of those little plastic switch covers they could send my way, I'd be happy to pay whatever seems reasonable. Or trade something from my ever-growing selection of knobs and miscellany. :D

^^^If you can't find a switch cover, perhaps you could buy a cheap Yammie tuner like a CT-410 and utilize that switch cover. Those tuners are almost free.

Yamaha YH-3 Headphones

Here's a fun discovery from yesterday. I found these headphone in the basement of the two-flat we share with our in-laws. When my father-in-law was younger, he was a scrounger, so they were probably found in an alley or obtained at a swap meet. They were very dirty so I cleaned them up and plugged them in. They still sound good. They are pictured with a CA-1010 from the same era.

MX-800 Amps in 5.1 Surround System

Tried the Yammys instead of the integrated amps in the Pioneer VSX TXH 21, noticeable improvement in clarity and accuracy. Decided to keep the set up so I racked it. New cables and cooling fans arriving in a day or two. Rebuilt T-1020 on top.

Not embarrassed at all.

Hey guys,
I think this is my first post here on Yamaha. Just had to say, after about a 6 month stint with my awesome upgraded Khorns, I felt the urge to drive another from my fine collection. Wow, am I impressed! Firstly I never had them here in this location with the same output tube selection. What an absolutely fine speaker the NS1000s are. I should actually be posting this in the Speakers page.

Stan
