I don't have experience with all of the vintage speakers. But, that looks like a pretty good list to start with. :thmbsp: I would like to know if there is another post on this as well. I guess it's all subjective to a certain degree.

I have been blessed/cursed with love for my:

Infinity IRS Gamma
Thiel CS 3.5

Older favorite of mine was pretty much any version:
Altec VOTT/A7-500 WOW!

And another vote for the K-Horn.

Fun!

hpm 100's
advents the orinigal ones
Marantz hd 880's
altec lansing monster back breakers frm older theaters

Here are 10 that would help fill out my basement speaker museum:

AR3a
KLH 6
Dynaco A25
KLH 9
Altec 19
Quad 57
Tannoy (Silvers, Reds, Golds etc)
Bozak Concert Grand
Infinity IRS Beta
Ohm Walsh F

Acoustat 2+2
PSB Stratus Gold
B&W 801
Tannoy Arden
Magnepan Tympani
Mirage M1
Acoustic Research AR9
Ohm Walsh 4XO
Infinity Quantum Line Source
Polk SDA SRS

I tried to leave out speakers beyond the reach of the general audiophile.

Here's my 10. I tried to limit them to speakers I've listened to for an hour or more (* not heard). It's not that the DQ's or B&O's are necessarily better than all the others, but if I can only have 10 I'm not giving them up. A bird in hand ...

Bose 901's (4 for the quad room :) )
VOTT's
Magnaplanar's
Braun LV-1020's (before ADS)
Tannoy Westminster's *
Harold Beverage System II's
Infinity IRS V *
JBL Paragon *
B&O M70's
Dahlquist DQ-10's

Without a price range (or even a solid definition for "vintage") the list could go on almost indefinitely, but the first 10 (in no particular order) that come to my mind would be...

Quad ESL-63
Snell A
Ohm Walsh (any)
Acoustat (any - particularly Spectra series)
AR 9
Dahlquist DQ-20 (or 30)
DCM TF700 (or larger)
Allison Ones (or Twos)
KEF R107
Magnepan MG IIIa

Tough list to complete. In no particular order:

Infinity IRS V
JBL L300
ADS L1590
Infinity QLS-1
JBL XPL-200
Thiel CS3.6
Quad ESL
JBL L250ti
Infinity IRS Beta
JBL 4345

Trying to cover the bases and in no particular order. Not sure where you draw the line on age for vintage? This list would change if I considered newer speakers.

Klipsch Cornwalls
JBL L300 Summit
Altec Model 19
Acoustic Research AR9
Dahlquist DQ-10
ADS L1290
Pioneer HPM100
Thiel CS 3.5
Large Advent
Infiniti Kappa System V

First real good speakers that were in my house as a kid. Sort of nostalgic, but they were also really good. In your face sound maybe a little harsh in the highs but the could get loud. These are rockers. I'd like to here them with good equipment cause when I had them we had mediocre equipment.

Get the crossover mod to T3 status, and you're the proud owner of a really REALLY nice set of speakers.

I own them, and loved the improvement this made.
If you are afraid of ruining something, AK'er Duanage can do it for you. He did mine.
