PLEASE do not move this to the tube section!!!!!!!

I had the bright idea of trying tubes and though picking up an as-is et-70 would be a good idea. Are there any local elders that could help school me and assist in getting it up and running?

Have beer or wine or tea or coffee and will travel :D

nice ok i'll ping him. this topic is SMAC related as i need a local SMACer not just general TUBE.

PS BTW the snow is now falling in rochester

Are you looking to do the rebuild yourself, or find someone else to do the work?

I am in Dublin, OH. I have rebuilt an ST-70 and an SCA-35 using boards, components and instructions available on line. The results were great, and I really enjoyed the process.

I would be glad to help, and actually do the rebuild if you provide the needed components and get it here. That assumes the chassis and transformers are in good shape. PM me if you want to explore that option at all, or you want more info on my experience.
