TrrR Speaker of the House Jul 30, 2014 #2 I want to say some kind of Bose just based on the direct/reflecting layout but to be honest I have no idea. They are intriguing so I'll be watching for someone to identify them.

Audioraven Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2014 #6 If they measure around 12"x12"x36" they are the Ohm FRS-9. They were manufactured from the late 80's to mid 90's and retailed for $995 a pair.

I never listened to them, seen them looking at the Ohm website from time to time and always wondered how they sounded. At first they almost came across as DBX SF100s

Mystery constantly upgrading... Jul 31, 2014 #10 I don't need speakers so will pass. they are pretty cheap if anyone wants them.
B boylec New Member Aug 1, 2014 #11 Those are definitely Ohm FRS-9. They sound awesome - even if you didn't absolutely NEED new speakers those are worth buying just to have. They were a bit older, but they had quite stunning sound, and they look really cool in your living room as well.

Mystery constantly upgrading... Aug 1, 2014 #13 I passed. They were for $30 but my house is not less than a vintage speaker showroom already.
